Many of us enjoy a kick around with mates or the occasional 5-aside tournament however numerous countries take indoor football far more seriously. Futsal, a variation on the form of 5-aside, is played competitively by such nations as Brazil and Spain. The two mentioned countries being the favourites to win the Futsal World Cup which kicked off yesterday. The skill based game promotes tricks, flicks and fancy football. The rules are slightly different to typical 5-aside laws discouraging high balls. The game has helped the careers of many South American footballers, most notably Robinho and Messi.
