Arent these facts from the same person who said the spanish league is going down the plughole?! (7 goals in 5 games in La Liga is the equivalent of 1 in 20 in the premiership, according to your \'Real Catastophe\', being that the Premiership is by far the stronger league).

Someones been reading too many newspapers, 300K a week was something that the NOTW or some other similar paper \'quoted\' its all an exageration, you need to bring your head out of the clouds mate!

Madrid have never had, and will never a have a \'sinlge star\' unrivaled in thier fame by any other member of the team. This is where the differenciation comes: Villa cant handle not being no.1, he needs to be the best paid and the most famous footballer in the team, of which he wouldnt be at Madrid. Football\'s about money and power, and at the moment, with his great show of \'loyalty\' he has both at Valencia CF... - Titus Bramble

David Villa is arguably the best player in the world at the moment, look at his current form (7 goals in 5 league appearances). I\'m sure he\'d walk into the team, and if Villa went to Madrid I\'m sure he\'d get a decent sum, this is after all the same club who offered Ronaldo 300k per week. I\'m sure they would\'ve matched Valencia\'s offer. And your right, David Villa is the star of Valencia... but i\'m sure you agree he has the potential to be the star of Madrid...but rightfully his loyalty for his team was larger than his ego - Riski

Valencia never accepted an offer firstly. Secondly, at Madrid he wasn\'t guaranteed to be the first name on the team sheet, nor was he offered the freedom of the attack Hes got it all at Valencia, its not a love of the club but instead a love of money, power, and the \'lime-light\'; hes the centre of attention at Valencia, hed be one of crowd at Real. - Titus Bramble
