Michael Owen To Leave Newcastle?
News

The England and Newcastle star striker could be leaving St James' during this transfer window if the newspapers are to be believed with a long list of possible suitors being named. Here are some of the rumours flying about:

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho wants Newcastle striker Michael Owen and will offer the Magpies a straight swap for £12m-rated Brazil star Adriano or Honduras striker David Suazo plus £4.5m cash. (The Sun)

Owen will reject the chance to join Inter because he is not keen on another move abroad following his stint with Real Madrid. (Daily Mail)

Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa are all monitoring Owen's situation, despite his recent pledge to see out the final six months of his contract at St James' Park. (Daily Mail)

England striker Michael Owen must take a £25,000-a-week pay cut - from £105,000 to £80,000 - as part of the new three-year contract he has been offered at Newcastle. (Various)

Owen is waiting to see if any of the 'Big Four' - Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or Manchester United - or even Tottenham, Manchester City and Everton are interested in his services. (Daily Mirror)
