We have a look at the Champions League and the shirt news revolving around UEFA's tournament in this week's round-up.

One team hoping to make it to Rome is the current holders Manchester United who have this week released their commemorative 3 star shirt, celebrating United's 3 Final successes in 68', 99' and 08. The shirt is limited edition and only 10,000 are to be produced. Additionally the Nike shirt has the official Champions League logo on the sleeve with the words 'FINAL MOSCOW 2008 21st May - LUZHNIKI STADIUM' embroidered onto the front. The shirt comes presented in a box containing other collectable items. Fellow Champions League side AS Roma will be eager to reach the final which for them would be played on home turf. The Giallorossi signed a high profile agreement in 2007 that meant Wind became their shirt sponsor. It is understood that this week the Italian telecommunications company Wind exercised its option to extend the sponsorship deal with Roma. The Wind sponsorship deal, which started during the 07/08 season, will now end at the end of the 09/10 season with Wind paying Roma EUR 7 million and a variable fee that is dependent on performance and results.
With Champions League football returning this week it will be interesting to see which teams look like they could reach that final in Rome. Also watch out for the shirts on display and for further information on football shirts, click over to footballshirtculture.com now!
