The situation at White Hart Lane has produced many dire results but also some fantastic quotes, joining in this week with the quotes is new manager Harry Redknapp, the Pompey and Blackburn fans, and a very confused Momo Sissoko..... "I feel like Superman, I could fly home." – David Bentley gets a bit carried away after his goal against Arsenal helped Spurs get one point. Perhaps he was hinting he could fly away from the mess at White Hart Lane. Maybe even back to Blackburn where it seems he is missing out on a lot, shame Rovers are only 12th: "David Bentley are you listening, Can you see what you are missing, Bottom of the league, With no Champions League, Walking in an Incey wonderland." -Sung by Blackburn fans at Bolton (to the tune of Walking in a Winterland) Even the stadium announcers are joining in with the anti-Spurs jokes. This is what the wannabe comedian at Gillingham announced: "On loan from Tottenham so that he can feel what three points is like - Andy Barcham!" Hoping to rejuvenate the North London team's fortunes is new manager Harry Redknapp though if he had looked at the fixure list he might have waited until next week to take the job: "It's Arsenal and Liverpool next - nine points, what a good start!" To fill the vacancy at Portsmouth coach Joe Jordan presumably wants the right guy: "I think it's important that they pick the right guy. We've seen it at other clubs where they've not picked the right guy and they suffer. I think it's important that they get the right guy. Get the right guy and we'll carry on." Though it is probably likely that Redknapp will never return for a third spell at the club:
"Once Forgiven. Twice Forgotten. Judas." Banner to ex-manager Harry Redknapp at Pompey-Fulham game. One player who escaped from the madness of the Premier League is ex-Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko, shame though he couldn’t remember when he joined: "The Champions League? I won it with Liverpool and now I want to win it with Juventus."
Sissoko joined the Merseyside club two months after their Champions League success.
