TF90M recently documented the England Vs Germany Legends match which resulted in a convincing 5-1 win for the German side. The England squad will hope to fare better when they face an Ireland select XI on Thursday October 9th.

The game will be played at the home of Fulham FC, Craven Cottage, see bottom for ticket information. ITV4 will also broadcast the game live.

With little being given away by either side at this early stage there are only a few squad announcements to report. Nigel Winterburn returns to the England team to bolster the defence which was torn apart by the German front line last time around. Ex-Arsenal team mates Ray Parlour and Paul Merson will also make appearances after being selected by manager Peter Reid. Former Manchester United star Lee Sharpe will face an ex-colleague in Denis Irwin who will play alongside former Gunner Eddie McGoldrick and Charlton’s Mark Kinsella for the Ireland side. The teams will be competing for The Johnny Haynes Memorial Cup.

TF90M recommends you buy your tickets, go along and enjoy the game. If the last affair is anything to go buy, we should be in for a few goals! Until the game, TF90M will keep you updated with all the latest news regarding the event.

The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It’s the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.
