The Transfer Merry-Go-Round

With just a few days to go until the big Premiership kick off, the papers are having a field day reporting all the rumours; from likely switches to the absolutely ludicrous.

The continuing saga of the Summer, Dimitar Berbatov’s move, will either go ahead imminently or not at all depending on which source you trust.  Many report that Spurs and Manchester United have at last agreed a fee, in the region of £28 million, and the transfer will take place before Saturday. However contradictory reports state that Juande Ramos wants Berbatov to stay and instead Man. United will move in for ex-Arsenal star Thierry Henry. Then of course this opens up the possibility of Berbatov moving to Spain and playing for the Catalan giants who are known to also be interested in securing the Bulgarians services. For now the rumour merry-go-round continues.

Elsewhere Mark Hughes has reassured fans he will not be leaving the club just three months after taking over the reigns at Man. City. The owner however is surrounded in controversy. Man. City are reportedly interested in acquiring Roque Santa Cruz however Blackburn have dismissed these rumours and have stated their star striker is not for sale. Blackburn themselves have become the first Premier League side to install a prayer room at their stadium. Ewood Park will now have a place where supporters can pray and with David Bentley already having left and the possibility of Santa Cruz following out the door, Blackburn fans may have a lot to pray for this season.

looks like Berbs is on way 2 Old Trafford though surely he won't get in the team ahead of tevez and Rooney who both work a lot harder. He will be a bench warmer and then start sulking again.

i personally think that tevez is very stronger than berbs but bersb is much more esperience than tevez.so i think berbs is needded for the premieship win.

Yes although Tevez has more international experience playing in tournaments for Argentina. And surely if Ferguson is planning to play Rooney, Berbatov and Tevez, the team could lack width.
