TF90M Exclusive Q and A with Presenter Tim Lovejoy

Television presenter Tim Lovejoy is an avid Chelsea fan. Having presented the iconic Saturday morning show Soccer AM for 11 years with co-host Helen Chamberlain, Lovejoy has since moved on to different ventures. Now presenting BBC2 programme “Something for the Weekend” Lovejoy still manages to discuss his favourite topic of football despite now dealing with food and gadgets. Lovejoy can also be heard on BBC Radio Five Live hosting the football phone-in 606. In 2008 Lovejoy launched an internet TV channel called “Channel Bee.”

 Q and A:

1. Do you miss presenting Soccer AM?

Yes and No. I miss working with Helen and I liked being involved in football on a Saturday morning, but Channel Bee has given me a new buzz.

2. What has been your favourite moment of your career so far?

Getting the chance to play at Wembley before the League Cup final Chelsea v Boro.It felt like I was part of the day

3. Have you had the chance to meet any personal heroes?

Yes in football terms I've met loads like Micky Thomas, Joey Jones, Kenny Dalglish and Ray Wilkins. In music I've met Terry Hall and Suggs enough said!

4. What are your personal plans for the future?

Turn Channel Bee into entertainment site that people visit daily - we're on our way!

5. Do you enjoy presenting 606?

I love it. I can't believe I get paid to talk about football for an hour.

6. Do you think Chelsea can win the Premiership this season?

Yes of course. Look how close we were last year and we're stronger this season.

7. As a celebrity Chelsea fan, what do you think of Scolari?  Do you believe he is the right man for the job?

Yes I think he'll win us the Premiership. Our squad is full of talent and he's a strong manager, we can't fail.

8. Have you been impressed with your signings so far? If you could sign anyone who would it be?

I would've loved to have seen Ronaldinho at the Bridge, but I'm happy with our squad.

9. What is your favourite memory of a football match?

I think when we won the FA Cup against Boro as it was the first major trophy I'd ever seen us win. I never thought I'd see it.

10. Why did you become a Chelsea fan?

Grew up in Middlesex and loved the song “Blue is the Colour.”

11. What would your Chelsea dream be?

That I get a run out for them. I could still do a job just sitting in front of the back four.

Thank you very much to Tim for his time. Head over to www.channelbee.com to catch more of Tim.

We'll have to wait and see if Chelsea can win the Premier League this campaign but TF90M is certainly the best place to keep up to date with all the news throughout the season.
