Portugal Vs Germany Portugal head in to the quarter final with confidence, comfortably qualifying through the group stages and able to rest key players in their previous match against hosts Switzerland. Despite losing their last game, with manager Scolari able to select from numerous attacking options, Portugal always provide a threat. However whilst having the likes of Ronaldo and Deco creating the chances it is a prolific finisher they lack. Nuno Gomes may not possess the required quality Portugal need to progress further in the competition. Similarly Pepe and Bosingwa signify the attacking ambitions of the side, but are maybe a cause for concern if Germany pile on the pressure. Ricardo is renowned for his penalty saving expertise which may prove handy once again tonight. Germany may not have progressed with such ease and were beaten by eventual group winners Croatia but still prove worthy quarter finalists. They say never write off Germany and with the fire power of Klose and Podolski, the engine of Ballack and the tenacity of Frings, the nation still looks strong. Germany were favourites prior to the tournament and despite their defence appearing shaky, they still remain real contenders to lift the trophy. Germany are also well renowned for burying their penalties, so if it is a shootout that decides the game tonight, it could go on for a while! Score Prediction: Portugal 1 - Germany 2 Germany will plan to man-mark Ronaldo out of the game and if this succeeds Portugal will gain limited attacking chances. Klose is yet to find his best form but with Podolski in a rich scoring vein, TF90M backs the Germans to make the semi's.  Well, TF90M had the score correct at half-time.
